About Us

At Mulgaro, we believe the most beautiful things are made slowly.

Our journey begins with Sira - a piece shaped by season, sun, and time.
It begins with the harvest: leaves gathered only during the dry months, after weeks of patient tending. Once sun-dried and softened, each fibre is stripped entirely by hand - without machines or chemicals - preserving the raw textures that make every bag one of a kind.

A material so rare, it’s nearly forgotten by the modern world.
No shortcuts. Just time, skill, and deep reverence for nature.

From there, each Sira takes four to five full days to complete - its curves woven slowly, meticulously, and with care. Its rounded form, inspired by the soft silhouette of a pumpkin, is both sculptural and soothing to hold.

To carry Sira is to carry something rare: touched by time, grounded in nature, and made entirely by human hands.

No two will ever be alike. That’s the beauty.

With love and gratitude,
Mulgaro
